Aerial Tramway
It is one of Japan’s most impressive cable cars: The Shinhotaka double-decker aerial tramway, which takes passengers from the Shinhotaka Onsen valley station to the Nishihotakaguchi mountain station at over 1,000 meters in altitude into what’s known as the Japanese Alps. The upper and lower decks each hold 52 passengers with electromechanical sliding doors providing access to the two separately accessible decks. During the ride, passengers receive information via flat screens and are entertained via integrated LED lighting with light effects.
