Funicular Railway
The Phyrn-Priel vacation region has expanded its infrastructure for hikers, mountain bikers, and nature lovers: The new Wurzeralm funicular, which went into operation in summer 2020, ascends about 2,900 meters to the starting point of countless hiking, mountain bike, and climbing tours. Each of the two carriages holds 140 passengers. As one of the fastest funiculars in the world, it can transport 1,450 people per hour. State-of-the-art technology, including an automatic fire alarm system and an infotainment system, ensures passenger safety and entertainment.
